Meet Janice

Janice- Treatment Coordinator

As Treatment Coordinator, Janice helps our new patients learn about our office, answer questions they may have about getting started, and helps them find a financial plan that works within their budget. In addition, Janice helps Dr. Castilla during the Initial Exam process as Dr. Castilla creates a treatment plan that is unique to the needs of each patient.

Janice has been in the field of Orthodontics for over 25 years. Not only did she previously work as our Scheduling Coordinator for 6 years, Janice has also been an orthodontic assistant for over 25 years. This experience makes her very helpful and knowledgeable in answering questions about treatment as well as any orthodontic appliances our patients may be required to wear. She loves having the opportunity to work with so many unique patients, watching as their smiles transform throughout their treatment.

Janice was born in Long Beach, California but she and her family settled down in Oregon in 1976. She married and raised her two children, Kayla and David, in Stayton. In their free time, Janice and her husband enjoy boating with friends and family at Detroit Lake.

Kristina is in charge of all things financial, including statements, insurance, flexible spending accounts, and answering any questions that patients may have regarding contracts and billing.

Kristina is very experienced and has worked in the dental field for over 29 years. She feels very fortunate to be a part of the Team at Castilla Orthodontics, which she describes as “awesome” and “caring”.  Kristina states that her favorite part of her job is working in an office with positive energy and motivation to give our patients the best of care.

Meet Margo

Margo- Scheduling Coordinator

Margo works at our Front Desk where she greets patients, schedules patient appointments, answers phones, and takes care of patient questions.

Much more than the friendly face that greets you as you enter, Margo has 30 years of experience in the orthodontic field and has been orthodontic clinical assistant the entire time. Whether as Clinical Assistant or now as Scheduling Coordinator, Margo says her favorite part of her job is working alongside a great team for a great cause- beautiful smiles!

Margo was born in Seattle, Washington but moved to Silverton, Oregon in 1974 where she finished high school and has lived ever since. When she’s not in the office, she enjoys running, tap dancing, day hikes with her husband Tim, and spending time with her granddaughter. Additionally, Margo and her husband raise Buffalo so she can always be counted on to have a cute baby buffalo picture on her phone.

Carol graduated from dental assisting school in 1984 after her orthodontist encouraged her to go into the dental field. She assists Dr. Castilla in the care and treatment of patients and ensures they are as comfortable as possible.

She loves working with everyone in our office, including staff and our patients. She finds it very fulfilling to get to know new people and help give them beautiful smiles.

Having recently undergone orthodontic treatment herself, Cheryl states she has a first hand appreciation for the value and health of orthodontic treatment. That is why she enjoys educating patients about the benefits of a beautiful smile.

Cheryl and her family live in Jefferson. She is married and has 3 children, ages 18, 12, and 10. In her personal time, Cheryl enjoys volunteering for her church and spending time with her family.

Diana says that her favorite part of her job is seeing the expression on patient’s faces after they have just had their braces removed. As a Clinical Assistant, she gets to do that and much more. Diana helps Dr. Castilla everyday with providing orthodontic treatment to our patients.

Diana was born in Long Beach, California but grew up in Salem so she definitely considers herself a local. In her personal time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family as well as going on new hiking adventures.
