Retainers can wear out or break over time, and we want to make sure that you experience as little down time as possible. We also want to make sure that your retainers are fitting properly, and that you’re using them correctly. Retainer Boss allows for our team to make sure that your retainers are fitting properly, and to quickly get you some help if you are having any issues.
Retainer Boss is included as part of your treatment plan at Castilla Orthodontics.
Get Started
- Wash your hands thoroughly for at least 20 seconds.
- Find a well-lit room in your house. One with a lot of natural light is best where the light is facing you.
- Place the cheek retractor with a connecting loop toward your chin and not your nose. You can also use two spoons to retract your cheeks.
- Take the following photos with your phone or camera. Make sure the flash is turned on. If you see a shadow over your teeth or if they are out of focus, please take them again. You may need to recruit a friend to help you.

Once the photos are received, one of our clinicians will be reaching out to you within 48 hours to discuss Dr. Castilla’s recommendations and answer any questions you may have about your braces treatment.
